Kappa Kappa Gamma gives back!
Our dedication to serving our community is a vital piece of our organization. We enjoy annual philanthropy events that are a part of our Kappa tradition as well as participating in new events within the Greek community and the UC community.
Kappa Kidney Camp
Cincinnati Kappas host service events each year in order to raise money for our chapter's philanthropy, Kappa Kidney Camp. It is unique in the sense that while it is our specific chapter focus, we share in donating to this project with the other Kappa chapters in Ohio. Kappa Kidney Camp is a week long summer camp that provides an opportunity for children who have received dialysis or who have undergone a kidney transplant to enjoy a summer camp experience entirely for free. The children receive all the medical care and equipment they need for the week while enjoying fun activities and making lifelong friends and memories. One of the best parts of Kappa Kidney Camp is Kappa Day where we get to spend the day with the kids playing games, hanging out, and getting to know them! It is incredibly rewarding and inspiring to meet such incredible kids.

The Kappa Foundation
Kappa Kappa Gamma is very fortunate to be able to give back to our sisters through The Kappa Foundation. The Kappa Foundation supports scholarships, education, and emergency aid to sisters in need. Whether you are an active collegiate member or an alumni, Kappa never stops giving. We know that Kappa is for life! Beta Rho supports The Kappa Foundation by hosting additional Kappa Dog Nights throughout the year. (Read more in the "Foundation" tab.) Donations for The Kappa Foundation can be made by visiting: www.kappa.org
How do we raise money for Kappa Kidney Camp and the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation?
Kappa Dog Night- Twice a year, we sell hot dogs on our front porch between the hours of 10pm and 2am. It's all the hot dogs, soda pop, hot chocolate, or lemonade, chips and condiments you can buy! Not to mention music and our favorite part - hotdog costumes!

Reading Is Fundamental
Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) is KKG's National Philanthropy. It is supported through the donation of thousands of books and volunteer hours to Boys and Girls Clubs, elementary schools and hospitals. Kappas believe that "Reading Is KEY!" (Read more in the "National Philanthropy" Tab)

The Spelling Key - Last year, philanthropy chair, Kelsey Thomas, put on our first annual Spelling Key. For this event, sororities, fraternities, and a few campus organizations sent a representative to participate in a spelling bee with a twist. Participants dressed in their nerdiest attire to spell silly words like "Ono" and "ratchet". As the competition got fiercer during the later rounds, the participants had to spell their words while hula-hooping, then talking in a British accent, and then acting like dogs, and more!
